The 2013
Edition of UNO-R Miss World Tourism Pageant will be held on September 18, 1:00 PM at the University
Auditorium.
UNO-R
Miss World Tourism Pageant aims ”to educate students on the importance of
cultural diversity in tourism and at the same time let them experience to be glamorous
and beautiful in order to develop
gracefulness and confidence” according to the event’s adviser.
The
candidates of
this competition are Hospitality Management
and Tourism students taking up World Tourism and Asian Cuisine subjects.
The panel of judges includes Mister Mark Vargas, Miss Janice Lim and Miss
Yvonne Cepeda.
Last year’s winner was the Bachelor of Science in
Tourism Management first year student, Miss Claire Poras, representing India in the competition. She will represent UNO-R in the Binibining Turismo 2013, a project of Provincial Tourism in celebration
of the Tourism Week, on September 26, 2013 at the University Gymnasium.
The
UNO-R Miss World Tourism 2013 Pageant is organized by Events and Management Class
of the College of Business and Accountancy. Aleah Robles
Sevilla is this year’s Chairperson of Miss World Tourism together with Miss
Rosejean Contrevida as adviser.
To
add more color to this world event celebration, there will be food exhibit of
various countries like China, Japan, Italian, Mexico and five other countries.
