PERSONAL THOUGHTS

Motto:

“Less is more.”

Describe yourself:

I’m a “What you see is what you get” type of person; in short, I’m super expressive with regards to my emotions. I love girly stuffs but most of the time, I do boyish stuffs. I love cooking very much as much as I love eating. Food has always been my best buddy. I’m more in being realistic; setting goals that I know I can achieve, rather than spending my time daydreaming. I’m a great disciple of love.

What does it mean to be a UNO-Rian?

A UNO-Rian is a person who remains humble and faithful amidst success.

What is your greatest achievement?

To be honest, I haven’t reached yet my greatest achievement in life. Well, maybe that is the purpose why I’m serious enough to finish my education, pass the board exam and get a career right after. But of course, I know that I couldn’t accomplish all of those things without our Ultimate Provider who is the source of all the achievements that I already have and still could have in my life.

If there is one event in your life that you want to change, what would it be? Why?

There were certain happenings in my past that caused me so much pain and frustrations; however, those were also the things that had led me to the path that I am taking right now. If I were to change one of those events, for sure I will never be on the same path; it could be something better or worse. What is important for me is the fact that I am contented on where life is leading me today, which means that I will never grab that chance to change anything.

Despite the natural calamities happening in our country, how can you say that it's still more fun in the Philippines?

The presence or absence of this natural calamities that our country is experiencing from time to time, does not, in any means, negatively affect the quality of fun here in the Philippines, because fun does not depend on the situation that we are in to, but on the attitude that we Filipinos naturally possess towards this instances; that in spite of the degree of dilemmas, we can still manage to wear our genuine and contagious smiles. In fact, would you believe that it becomes more fun in the Philippines in times of chaos, such as calamities for example, why? It’s because in this hard situations, we can vividly see the true meaning of love, compassion and faith in every Filipinos.

How does it feel representing your college to the prestigious Mister and Miss UNO-R 2013 Pageant?

The feeling is indescribable at first. Really. I seemed like I’m floating in the outer space that nothing wants to sink in my mind. But now, those mixed emotions have finally turned into this, I feel privileged.

What are your preparations for this pageant?

As much as I don’t want to lose weight, I must have to. Hahaha. It’s more on conditioning my inner self than anything else. [It’s] mind over matter as they say.

Among the candidates, who do you think is your best competitor?

It’s too early to name names, but I’ll put it this way, whoever she might be that has the eagerness to win in this pageant not for personal benefits but for the intention of bringing home the honor for her respective College, then she might be the best contender.

What or who motivated to win this pageant?

My love and respect to the College of Engineering Family, most especially to our Dean, Engr. Taclobos, made me through this decision of joining and will keep the fire burning until that final night.

What do you think is the relevance/importance of Mister and Miss UNO-R to the academic community?

I think that the significance of Mister and Miss UNO-R to the academic community is the influence that it can bring to every UNO-Rian, since this pageant’s main objective is to produce Ambassador and Ambassadress of Goodwill who will serve as paragons of excellence in their words, thoughts and actions. This activity, aside from showcasing beauty and glamour, is also an effective way to uplift the Recollect spirit of unity in every college, and in the entire University as a whole, amidst adversities.

If you win the crown, what would be your personal advocacy?

If given the chance to win the crown, my personal advocacy will revolve around the word “LOVE”. Love for mankind. Love for the environment. And above all, Love for God.

Why should you be crowned Miss UNO-R 2013?

Anyone who possesses the quality that it takes to be called a UNO-Rian has all the right to be crowned as Mister and Miss UNO-R. In my case, I believe that my almost 5 year stay here in this institution has already instilled in my mind and in my heart the resounding pride of being a UNO-Rian, that I am always ready to represent myself to whoever, whenever and wherever I am, with great pride and dignity, that I am a UNO-Rian Engineer, and this makes me deserving to win the crown.
