Miss Claire Porras was the first student to be crowned as UNO-R Miss World Tourism in 2012, representing India in the competition. She was then a first year Bachelor of Science in
Tourism Management last year.
For this year 2013, she is the official candidate of UNO-R to the Ginoong at Binibining
Turismo 2013 which will be on September 26, 2013 at the University Gymnasium.
The said pageant is the first inter-school pageant exclusively for Tourism students in Negros, a project of Provincial Tourism in
celebration of the Tourism Week. The Talent
Competition is scheduled on September 20 (Friday) at the Ayala Mall, Talisay
City.

Miss World Tourism Pageant aims ”to educate students on the importance of
cultural diversity in tourism and at the same time let them experience to be
glamorous and beautiful in order to develop
gracefulness and confidence” according to the event’s adviser.
