The newly-crowned Mutya ng NOPSSCEA 2013 was no stranger to beauty competition. Miss Reina Amor held two crowns in 2010 as Dinagsa Queen in Cadiz City and UNO-R Miss College of Business and Accountancy. In that same year, she also placed First Runner-Up both in Miss UNO-R 2010 and Pasalamat Queen in La Carlota City.

For this year’s NOPSSCEA 2013 Beauty Pageant, she was approached by the Vice President for Student Welfare, Rev. Fr. Louie Gabinete, Miss Wendy Basa, and Miss Barabara Cordova, UNO-R NOPSSCEA Coordinator to represent the University to the pageant.

Asked how does it feel winning the pageant crown for her Alma Mater, she humbly confessed, “the feeling is very overwhelming. I am very happy that I was chosen to be the representative and to ring honor to the school.” She continued saying, “winning the title is not only wearing a crown on your head but it speaks of a huge responsibility of being the ambassadress of goodwill.  As Mutya ng NOPSSCEA 2013, you are expected to be a good role model to the society and also to be the representative of the NOPSSCEA community to the PRISAA.”

“I thank and praise the LORD for His favor and also to my family who supported me all the way. I also [thank] the administration for believing in my capabilities to represent UNO-R in the Mutya ng NOPSSCEA, my classmates, friends and schoolmates as well for their cheers. It took away all my fears and apprehensions,” she added.

The reigning Mutya ng NOPSSCEA 2013 Reina Amor S. Gomez hails from Cadiz City and is due to finish her BS Accounting degree in the University this March 2014.

She will represent NOPSSCEA to a beauty tilt in the forthcoming PRISAA this year.

Congratulations, Reina Amor. The whole UNO-R community and Tolentine Missosology are very proud of you.
