The Binibini at Ginoong Turismo 2013 is the first inter-school pageant in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Office in celebration of the Tourism Week on September 23-29. It aims “to choose tourism ambassadors for Negros Occidental and create a friendly competition among Tourism schools,” according to Miss Rosejean Contrevida, UNO-R Tourism Event Coordinator.

Among the pre-pageant activities participated in by the candidates were Talent Competition at The District North Point in Talisay City (September 20), courtesy call at the Governor’s Office (September 23) and a corporate tour (September 24).

The candidates were judged in four categories: Costume Parade and Production Number, Tourism Adventure Attire (courtesy of Natasha), Barong and Filipiniana Attire (courtesy of The Jaunts and Journey Travel Agency), and Interview. The panel of judges included John-john Ditching, Mark John Vargas, Carl Lopez among others.
