Personal Motto:

Describe yourself:
Simple, kind,
talented, friendly, religious
Why did you choose
UNO-R as your school?
It’s because UNO-R
has a high quality of education that values students.
What is your
favorite place in UNO-R? Why?
The UNO-R Library, because
it serves as the brain of the University.
What subjects do
you find challenging? Why?
The most
challenging subject for me is PHILIT because it focuses not only theoretical
and factual basis but more on practical and real life situation through
activities provided by the said subject.
Do you agree that
in love, age doesn’t matter? Why or Why not?
Yes. I do believe
that age is not important because true feelings/love cannot be measured by age.
Do you think the corruption
in the Philippine government will end if the pork barrel system is totally
abolished? Why or Why not?
No, I don’t think
so, because corruption nowadays serves as the cancer of the country.
Do you believe that
READS scholars should refrain from joining student protests against tuition fee
increase?
No, because we owe
our free education from the administration.
How do you describe
a READS scholar?
READS scholar
serves as a model to the students of the University.
What do you think
are the most important qualities that READS scholars should possess?
A good manager of
time. It’s because time management is the most important thing that the READS scholar
must possess.
What are your most
challenging experiences as a READ scholar?
Joining the Mister
and Miss READS 2013 is considerably the most challenging experience yet.
How does it feel
representing your group to the Mister and Miss READS 2013 Pageant?
Overwhelming,
because that means they believe in my capacity and my talent.
Why should you be
crowned Mister/Miss READS 2013?
Everyone deserves
the crown, because every candidate has a unique quality that’s worthy to
represent the READS community.
If you win the
crown, what would be your personal advocacy as a READS scholar?
Given a chance to
win is an opportunity for me to promote charity to the less fortunate
individual which serves as a legacy that the READS uphold for the past few
years.
Your short message
to all UNO-R READS scholars…
Dream big and aim high
because in God everything is possible if you believe.

B. PERSONAL THOUGHTS
Personal Motto:
“I can overcome challenges, not because I am
strong, but because God is with me.”
Describe yourself:
I am a student who gives
her best in every subject I take. A friend who is always there whenever you
need me. A sister who thinks of her siblings before herself. A daughter who aims
to someday give back to her parents and a faithful servant of the Lord.
Why did you choose
UNO-R as your school?
I chose UNO-R as my
school because it is a prestigious school that produces globally-competitive
graduates and it gives chance to students who would like to pursue their
college education but lacks finance to do so through the READS program.
What is your
favorite place in UNO-R? Why?
My favorite place
in UNO-R is the Adoration Chapel. Each day that I enter the gate of UNO-R, I
always see to it that I visit the adoration chapel even just for a few minutes
because for me, God’s guidance is enough for me to get through any challenge
that may come my way.
What subjects do
you find challenging? Why?
I consider every
subject that I enroll in as a challenge, so that I may be able to cope with the
requirements of each subject and thus have a high grade at the end of each
term.
Do you agree that
in love, age doesn’t matter? Why or Why not?
I don’t agree that
in love, age doesn’t matter because for me, when we become older, our
interpretations of our feelings differ from how we previously see it when we
were younger. We cannot say that the love felt by 40 years old is the same as
the love felt by a 20 year old. Feelings and our expressions of it differ,
therefore in love, age does matter.
Do you think the corruption
in the Philippine government will end if the pork barrel system is totally
abolished? Why or Why not?
I don’t think
corruption in the government will end if the pork barrel system will be totally
abolished. The PDAF itself is not an issue; the issue is how our government
officials allocate this fund. For the corruption to be totally abolished, our
government officials should start the change within themselves.
Do you believe that
READS scholars should refrain from joining student protests against tuition fee
increase?
I believe that
READS scholars should refrain from joining student protests against tuition fee
increase because the school administration is responsible for the funds of the
READS, if the READS would go against the administration, it’s like “stabbing a
friend behind his back”. We READS should support the UNO-R Administration.
How do you describe
a READS scholar?
A READS scholar is
a model to his/her family, friends, and everyone around him. We can’t deny the
fact that it is not easy to manage your time for duty and study. But each READS
scholar still manages his time for both. Therefore, he should serve as a model
to other students.
What do you think
are the most important qualities that READ scholars should possess?
A READS scholar should
be God-fearing and optimistic. God-fearing because a READS scholar should learn
how to bow down and worship God and make Him as the center of his/her life.
Being optimistic, good vibes flows into you, thus you perform at your best both
in class and in the office.
What are your most
challenging experiences as a READ scholar?
The most
challenging experience as a READS scholar is to keep up with your class at the
same time keeping up with the office you are assigned to. It is always a
challenge on how you can balance your duty hours and your class hours. As for
me, I manage this dilemma by taking things one at a time, concentrate on duty
if it’s time for duty and concentrate on class if it’s time for class.
How does it feel
representing your group to the Mister and Miss READS 2013 Pageant?
As the chosen
representative of my group, I feel proud despite my flaws, my group mates chose
me and believed that I can do this, they never fail to express their support
for me, that’s why I felt honored to be their representative.
Why should you be
crowned Mister/Miss READS 2013?
To be crowned Ms
READS 2013 is both an honor and responsibility. An honor because the crowd
could give you prestige like never before. A responsibility because you be
responsible for the uplifting of the name of the READS in everything and
anything that you do. I am much more than willing to take this responsibility
and I would not waste the honor of being crowned Ms READS 2013.
If you win the
crown, what would be your personal advocacy as a READS scholar?
If I win the crown,
my personal advocacy would be to encourage my fellow READS to show the world
what we’ve got, just like me, I’ve always been the girl who hid my face and
afraid to say what I have to say. But, through this pageant, I learned that I
could do so much better than I think I could. You too my fellow READS could do
better, just learn to have faith in yourself and spread your wings like a
butterfly.
Your short message
to all UNO-R READS scholars…
To all UNO-R READS,
all of us suffer from various problems in each of our private lives. Some are
already discouraged to continue studying. But, whatever challenge or hindrance
life may bring, we should never give up. Being a READS scholar is the only
thing we hold on to for us to continue and finish a college degree. Let your
problems be your inspiration to push through and succeed in the latter years of
your life.
