UNO-R launches and implements CLAYGO Policy
In
line with its environmental advocacy, the University of Negros Occidental –
Recoletos through the Supreme Student Government formally launches and implements
the University CLAYGO Policy beginning Monday, February 10, 2014. This campus-wide
environmental activity aims at ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the
school environment as well as for the safety of all UNO-Rians.
With
this new project, UNO-Recoletos once more demonstrates its commitment and
effort in making our school become truly a clean, green and safe academic community for
everyone. But this will never be realized without the support and cooperation of
each member of the community.
So,
in behalf of the UNO-R administrators and student leaders, your blogger enjoins
every UNO-Rian—young and not so young, students, teachers and non-teaching
personnel, and all men and women of goodwill who simply love UNO-R and care for
our Mother Earth to be CLAYGO crusaders and watchers. Let us unite our minds,
hearts and hands together in this environmental project.
In connection with this activity, on February (Saturday), an orientation will be given to the CLAYGO Watchers at the University Student Center, 8:30 in the morning. And on February 10, CLAYGO Day, students may enter the campus in GREEN SHIRTS in support for the implementation of the said policy.
Here’s
the full text of the official communication to this effect which was released
by the UNO-RSSGO President John Floyd D. Abarico and signed by the University
President and Vice President for Student Welfare:
