The Philippines’ first Winter Olympian Michael Christian Martinez made it to Top 24!

Michael Christian Martinez made it to Top 24! You made us all proud as Filipinos! It was a breathtaking and amazing performance out there in Iceberg Skating Palace.

The Philippines’ first Winter Olympian in two decades, performed to the tune of Romeo and Juliet by Arthur Fiedler in men’s figure skating short program Thursday (Manila time). He garnered a score of 64.81 (33.31 technical, 31.50 component).

Michael Christian Martinez qualified already for the free/long program.
