Our UNOFELA General Assembly and election of
new set of officers will be on January 25, 2014.
The following positions are open for election:
President (1)
Vice President (1)
Secretary (1)
Treasurer (1)
Auditor (1)
PIO (1)
Sergeant- at-Arms (2)
Board of Directors (8)
As union members, you are encouraged to file
your candidacy for the above-mentioned positions or offices, individually or
with a party line-up. Filing of candidacy for election is from January 17 to
22, 2014 at 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. at the UNOFELA Office.
Please
see the attached guidelines for the election.

UNOFELA ELECTION GUIDELINES 2014
I.
WHO CAN VOTE?
All UNION members who are full time employees
of UNO-R can vote.
II. WHO CAN RUN?
Any full-time permanent employee (Faculty,
ANTP, and NTP) and a bona fide member of the UNOFELA who can meet the following
qualifications can run for election:
1.
For
the positions of PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT, only those members who have
served the university as permanent employees for five years.
2.
For
other positions, any full-time permanent employee.
3.
He/She
should have attended three out of four general assemblies in the past two years (January and July 2012, January and
July 2013). Excused absences will not be counted against the candidate; and
4.
He/She
is willing to serve UNOFELA for a term of five years.
III. OTHER ELECTION-RELATED
MATTERS
1.
UNION
members and incumbents who aspire to run for office in the UNOFELA can file their
candidacy for election from January 17 to 22, 2014 at 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. at
the UNOFELA office.
2.
Election
date is January 25, 2014 during the General Assembly.
3.
Any
member can file a disqualification complaint against any candidate a day before
election.
4.
A
candidate or any UNOFELA member should raise an election protest regarding the
election result within five days after the election.
