Skating Series and the U.S. Figure Skating National Championships. This year,

including “King of the Hill” and has hosted various TV and radio morning shows
and newscasts, including Fox’s “Good Day Live,” GMA, Access Hollywood and E!,
to name a few.
Called “The Most Beautiful Woman in
the World” by Playboy Magazine and “The Next Million Dollar Face” by Life
Magazine, Carol has not disappointed. Her father lost track of her covers by
1983 when she hit 250 Magazine covers! She has gone on to grace the covers of
over 700 magazines and still counting. Elite Models turned down the idea of
doing Supermodel posters, videos and Calendars when Carol proposed it. She,
therefore, went on without them to self-produce four posters, two workout
videos with Cosmopolitan magazine and six calendars. Since then, her posters
and calendars have become the benchmark for any and every rising, young
supermodel. Carol created a new business for all supermodels to come.
As for her books, Carol was
Best-selling author for her first book on raw food called Eating in the Raw,
which came out in 2005 and is a perpetual best seller. Her second book, The Raw
50, was released in 2007 and her third book, Easy Sexy Raw, in 2012.
At the age of fifteen, Anne won IMG/
MTV’s “Fashionably Loud” contest in Milan. Within six months of being
discovered, she had appeared in campaigns for Anna Molinari, Chloé and Sportmax
and signed a highly publicized four-year contract to become the first face of
Chanel Chance perfume. Over the past decade, Anne has graced the runway of
every major fashion house, including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi, Dolce
& Gabbana, Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli. Diane Von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs,
Donna Karan, Pucci, Chloé, Carolina Herrera, Proenza Schouler, Miu Miu and Anna
Sui.
Along with her work in the world of
high fashion, Anne is one of only a handful of models ever to cross over into
the commercial mainstream with a nine-year consecutive run in the coveted
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue (2005-2013), as well as making multiple
appearances on the runway of the renowned Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Anne made her acting debut in
supporting roles alongside Bruce Willis in A Good Day to Die Hard, and with
Garrett Hedlund, Jennifer Hudson, Terrence Howard, Richard Jenkins, and Amy
Adams in Lullaby. She is also looking forward to the release of her first
children’s book Anchovy The Flying Dog.
Aside from modeling, acting, and
writing, Anne is an advocate of giving back and over the last decade has been
involved with various charity organizations. She has been a big supporter of
(RED), as well as the annual TOMS Shoes campaign “One Day Without Shoes”,
Achilles International, Charity Water and Model Alliance.
Anne divides her time between New York
and Los Angeles. She was recently announced to be the new star and mentor of
Oxygen's hit TV show The Face alongside Naomi Campbell and Lydia Hearst,
scheduled to air early 2014.
MARC BOUWER
Of
course, anyone enveloped in a Bouwer design, whether a sequined mini or a
jeweled silk taffeta ball gown, gets noticed. this, in turn, has gotten the
attention of Hollywood’s a-list. His designs have graced the covers of numerous
magazines and the red carpet at movie premieres and awards shows. That’s part
of his allure—the formfitting look—imbued with a genuine desire to celebrate,
as poet Walt Whitman so neatly put it, “the body electric.”
Indeed,
one of Bouwer’s strong suits is his ability to cut a garment to complement a
woman’s figure. Another is his acclaimed talent as a draper, a skill he
mastered during his tenure with legendary designer Halston.
Bouwer,
who grew up in South Africa, had an unusual career trajectory. He was drafted
into the army, a national requirement, before studying fashion and winning the
South African Vogue Young designer award. His roots may be African, but his
ambition drove him abroad. “There was only one place to go,” he insists, “new
York.” His arrival, or what he calls his big “Hollywood moment,” came when
Halston studied his portfolio, then uttered these six prophetic words: “i think
you got something, kid.” what Bouwer got was an offer to join Halston’s studio.
There,
he learned various techniques, including the aforementioned draping, which were
a hit on the runway. “Once i had Halston on my resume, it got easier,” he
admits. “i gradually found patrons, and i went out on my own in the ’90s. i
worked out of my Greenwich Village apartment with Paul Margolin, my business
partner. He handled the press and daily operations; i handled the designs. And
we worked very hard. i’m lucky in that i can cut and sew.” His versatility
proved crucial to his success, as did word-of- mouth marketing and finding his
niche as one of the first evening wear- focused designers in the United States.
The
Marc Bouwer aesthetic is the very definition of timeless elegance, touched by
his love of cinema (he counts Blade Runner, Hero, and Marie Antoinette among
his favorite films). The look is distinct—lush colors, plunging necklines, and
daring up-to-there slits are undeniably sexy, yet kept in check by an
appreciation for classic silver-screen glamour.
Recently,
Bouwer’s strong ties to L.A.’s glitterati have made him a sought-after
spokesperson for the entertainment industry. As a guest stylist and judge on
many popular programs, he’s become the go-to personality for advice on style
and fashion. Whether making a guest appearance or spending long days designing
a new collection, he sums up his professional demeanor in two words: hands on.
“I’m
protective of my brand. And strong, sexy women will always be my muses.
