UNO-R Service Awards 2014

The Star of Tolentine Award is given to a retiree of UNO-R in appreciation and gratitude for his/her legacy of service which has contributed significantly to the promotion and encouragement of the total educative action of UNO-R: The Cradle of Excellence as inspired by Saint Augustine and in the spirit of the Recollect tradition.

The recipient of this award: 1)   has formally applied for age 60 retirement as stipulated in the OAR Retirement Plan; 2) may be full-time or part-time employee (teaching or non-teaching) provided that he/she must have rendered a minimum of ten (10) years of uninterrupted service to the University; and 3) must not have been sanctioned by the school administration for having committed any act contrary to the vision-mission, policies and procedures of the University.

A recipient’s compulsory retirement must fall within the school calendar of the current school year (June – May). A retiree whose retirement date falls outside of the June-May time frame of the current school year will be considered for the succeeding awards.

The presentation of the award is held during the University Week Celebration in a testimonial dinner in honor of the awardees.
