Shad
Roi de la Cruz

Last May 13, the giant search engine Google named Shad Roi
de la Cruz together with three (3) students from USLS among the new set of
Google Ambassadors from the Philippines. He will be formally welcomed by Google
at the Search Summit on June 19 – 22, 2013 at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta,
Indonesia. They are part of 150 other students in Southeast Asia who were selected
by Google from among the thousands of students from more than a hundred
universities in the region. In the Philippines, a total of 19 students were
selected.
The Google Student Ambassador Program is an
opportunity for students to learn new skills, meet other students from across Southeast
Asia and act as a liaison between Google and the universities. The program runs
for one (1) school year.
Shad Roi de la Cruz is an incoming third
year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science student for this Academic Year
2012 – 2013.
