Guidelines and Mechanics for Logo Design Contest
1.
The
contest is open to all Religious Education students duly endorsed by their
respective REED teachers. Contestants should fill-up the registration form.
2.
The
contest duration is from August 1, 2015 to September 1, 2015.
3. Contestants may submit up to three original (3)
entries. The
logo design must incorporate Augustinian symbols (pierced flaming heart and
book), the Cross, and the words UNO-Recoletos
Catholic Faith Festival.
4.
The logo may be done by
free-hand rendered in Markers, Ink, Pastel, Watercolor, Oil or Acrylic or by
computer. The logo should
be drawn/illustrated in A4 bond paper size.
5.
The
logo should not carry the name of the artist.
6.
Entries should contain a brief description
or rationale (not more than 500 words) explaining the components (symbols,
colors, etc.) of the logo.
7.
Entries
should be submitted in print (short bond paper size) and digital versions (flat
jpeg format with minimum 300 pixels).
8.
The
printed version of the logo should be sealed in a short brown envelope and
forwarded to: DR. DENNIS MADRIGAL, Catholic Faith Festival 2015 Chair at
Religious Education Department Office.
9.
The
digital version should be e-mailed to: catholicfaithfestival@yahoo.com. Filename is your
name and artwork title. Example: dennismadrigal_cff-logo.jpeg
10.
All entries (print and
digital versions) should be submitted on or before September 1, 2015.
11.
The
logo-making competition shall be judged according to the following criteria:
Concept/Relevance – 40%, Originality – 30%,
and Creativity and Visual Impact – 30%
12.
Entries
will be judged on September 10, 2015. The decision of the judges is final.
13.
Winners
will be announced and awarded in the afternoon of September 25, 2015.
14.
Three winners shall be chosen
and shall receive a certificate and cash prize. Special Citation
will be awarded to the Most Popular Entry on Facebook.
15.
Winners will be announced and
awarded on September 25, 2015.
*Internal
Process of Selection:
1.
All
entries will be displayed prominently on the Religious Education Bulletin
Board.
2.
The
Top Ten entries shall be uploaded in the Catholic Faith Festival Official
Facebook page. A voting period for the Top Ten Entries will be allotted to
select the Most Popular Entry based
on the Facebook votes or “likes”. The voting shall commence as soon as the
entries will be uploaded on Facebook page and will run until September 22,
2015.
3.
The
Religious Education Director, Area Chair, and Faculty Members shall constitute
the screening and selection committee to determine the winning entries on
September 10, 2015. The decision of the committee is final.
